Just a quick note to say that I’m part of a team that will be creating a short film for the 48-Hour Film Project Lisbon 2024. What's the difference between videographer and cinematography? And when do we know we can/should call ourselves cinematographers? If you're aspiring to be a cinematographer you don't necessarily need initials after your name (ASC, BSC, CSC for example) to be one. But you do need to have experiences and education that elevates you from being a videographer.

There's a lot to love about film making and, especially to me, cinematography. The feeling of being around the magic of a good set, the creativity you get to see unfold in front of you as the talent does their thing, meeting new people, the gear...Honestly, the list could go on for days. But for me, there are 3 things that definitely top the list. These are the things that keep each project fresh for me and make me want to do more and be better every time.
